Course Details:

The TW Course is a 6 week, 6 step program that is offered live in person or on zoom.

Offered privately and semi-privately for individual guidance and coaching.

Each week we meet for 1.5 hours (week 1 is 2 hours) to discuss the topic that week and play with guided mental exercises using mindfulness training, visualization, and meditation. You do not need experience with any of these techniques. Total of 9.5 hours.

Receive weekly handouts summarizing the main points discussed and instructions for the exercises we play with that week so you can practice throughout the week and after the course is done.

Receive an audio recording at the end of the course of the full meditation.

Bonus: optional 7th class to experience the full guided program once more.

Week 1: Are your Emotions Ruling You? Do Peace and Ease in your life Elude you?

  • Course overview

  • Mindfulness, meditation, visualization - tools of the course

  • Step 1: identify your emotions

  • New ways to understand emotions - What are they?

  • How Emotions give insight into the workings of the mind

  • Connection between emotions, thoughts, beliefs, and behaviour

  • Releasing judgement of emotions

  • Experience guided exercises to get to know your emotions and how they are connected to thoughts and beliefs

Week 2: Are your Thoughts Driving you Nuts?

  • Step 2: Identify your thoughts

  • New ways to understand thoughts - What are they?

  • How thoughts give insight into what we believe

  • Typical thought patterns we all need to change and how to change them

  • Consciously choosing what to think and thus, how you feel

  • Releasing judgement of thoughts

  • Experience guided exercises to increase your awareness of your thoughts and how they impact you, identifying your patterns.

Week 3: What Beliefs do you Cling to?

  • Step 3: Identify your beliefs

  • New ways to understand beliefs - what are they?

  • How to discern the difference between thoughts and beliefs

  • How to identify the beliefs that support you and the ones that do not

  • How beliefs give us insight into the foundation of the mind

  • How and why beliefs are constantly changing

  • Experience guided exercises to identify core beliefs that need changing and experience the difference between thoughts and beliefs

Week 4: Are your Beliefs True?

  • Step 4: Evaluate the validity of your beliefs

  • The subjectivity of beliefs.

  • How to evaluate the validity of beliefs you have identified as needing to change.

  • Experience guided exercises to help you release old harmful beliefs.

Week 5: What Beliefs Support you?

  • Step 5: Create new beliefs that support you

  • Creating new pathways in the brain

  • How to create new supportive beliefs that you can accept with all your heart

  • How to embrace new beliefs that are hard to accept

  • Experience guided exercises to create new beliefs that support you

Week 6: What have you Learned about Who You Are?

  • Step 6: Explore the spiritual meaning of your experiences. (spiritual insights and wisdom)

  • Seeing your issue in the context of your entire life for greater insights and wisdom

  • Seeing your issue through the eyes of your spirit for greater insights and wisdom

  • Who you are beyond the human form

  • Your path towards enlightenment

A Little Bit About Susan

Susan Ward, owner of Pathways to Peace Yoga & Healing, Uxbridge, Ontario. Meditation instructor and guide, consciousness expert, mindfulness teacher, yoga teacher.

I believe that enormous inner growth is possible when you increase your awareness of your thoughts, behaviours, emotions and patterns. It is my passion to teach you how to use consciousness training practices to help shift your inner issues to help you find peace. We are all on our own unique life path that is full of rocks to stub toes on, slippery slopes, steep hills, and seemingly impassible bridges, with beautiful vistas, mountain peaks and lush forests. Every inch of that path has adventure, pain and opportunities for conscious and spiritual growth. I am here to help you travel that path with greater knowing and awareness, to identify the rocks before you stub your toe, to carefully traverse the slippery slopes and to hold your hand supportively as you climb that steep hill. Together at Pathways to Peace, we can discover all sorts of bits of wisdom as we delve deeply into who you truly are, your authentic self, and begin to express with your authentic voice.

I have always been interested in how our thoughts and perceptions shape our lives. With a start in Social Work and Sociology, I found some of those answers. Expanding on that foundation I explored the depths of yogic and meditation practices and ancient wisdom to gain even greater understanding of myself and others. Still searching for more, I found the practices of Reiki to delve into the realm of energy which is at the core of all life. All of these experiences have led me to a place beyond our brains, a place within that holds the wisdom of the Universe, and I now share all this with all who seek to know themselves, to clear their inner struggles, and find peace.
